As most of you know our world was on pause for many things including the publishing and release of my most recent children's book.

I am excited to finally announce that we are currently in publication!! 

My book entitled 'Nana's Precious Kittens' will be released this summer in both Hardback and Paperback as well as an E-book version. So which ever style you like to read, we will have the perfect book for you!

I am excited to announce the illustrations have been completed and my new book is in the final editing phase. Soon it will be off to the publisher for printing!
If you love pets, especially kittens, you will love this new story!

  
'Nana's Precious Kittens'  is about a woman who raises her beloved cat Precious for many years. One cold autumn day her loving companion finds herself delivering a litter of beautiful kittens outside in the rain. The story gets interesting as the kittens wonder off and find themselves lost, hungry and cold. Their adventure takes a turn when they meet an alley cat who shows them the ropes of surviving out in the world on their own. Meanwhile, Nana and her friends are searching their town for her precious kittens. Find out what mischief these adorable little kittens get into and how it all ends by reading the full story. I think you will enjoy the beautiful illustrations created by the talented illustrator Kimberly Thompson.

I hope you are all enjoying your summer. With days full of sunshine, swimming and playing on the water, do you even think about Christmas? I'm sure most people don't. Then there are people like me who LOVE cooler temperatures and the festive holiday season of Christmas! Happy Summer Everyone.

Can you believe summer is upon us? Wow 2018 is flashing by! So with only four more months before Fall appears, I am frantically working with my illustrator and publisher to prepare my new Christmas Book for release! What we have so far is amazing and I feel so proud and blessed to work with great people on this project! I hope you all enjoy your summer break from school or work. I wish you fun in the sun!! Happy New Year to all. 
While 2017 had it's challenges it was exciting to complete the final draft of my latest Christmas Book. Currently I am working with my illustrator to bring my favorite elves back to life in their new adventure. Please watch for updates through out the year. You may even see a sneak peak of the illustrations here! I am excited to bring you my new story; Pages, Awakens the fireflies.  If all goes well with the publishing process, I will be scheduling book signings in the fall. Fingers crossed!

New Christmas Book...

Good news, I have completed the first draft of my second Christmas book! Now we begin the editing and re-write process. I am pleased to announce the illustrator who created Pages and her friends in my first book has signed on to create the beautiful illustrations for her sequel.  Stay tuned for exciting updates in the publishing process and book release date! November flew by as  we traveled back east to visit with family. Thanksgiving weekend was a winter wonderland in Big Bear Village Ca.

A Christmas Store 'n' More now has copies of my book, Pages, the Book-maker Elf available daily! The next time you are in Big Bear Village, please check out this beautiful store! It sparkles with all the traditional and creative holiday items you can imagine!! You can also check them out on FB. We are planning a book signing event there this holiday season too! Happy 4th of July everyone! I know most of you are thinking why is this Author talking about her Christmas book in July? Well I recently stumbled into a beautiful year round Christmas store in our local mountains near where I live. The display windows of this amazing store drew me in with it's twinkling lights and gorgeous Christmas trees! Have you ever walked under an upside down Christmas tree? It is a magical experience! The owner must have noticed my expression of total joy because in that magical moment she stepped forward and welcomed me into her very recently opened store! You see she shared with me she has been open for only a month. This store is her dream come true! For years she thought how wonderful it would be to work in her very own year round Christmas store. With hard work and family support her dream has become her reality! I introduced her to my husband who quickly mentioned how I too turned my dream of writing books into my reality! Once we told her about my Christmas story Pages the Book-maker Elf, she immediately asked to carry multiple copies in her store! Anyone reading this before July 8, 2016 will be hearing this exciting news first!!! I will officially announce this exciting news on my Facebook page on July 8th. Thank you for checking in on my website and I hope if you are ever in the Big Bear Lake area of Southern California, you will stop by A Christmas Store "n" More and see that magical store for yourself!! Holiday Reading

With the Holiday Season fast approaching, I am reminded of all the many classic story books that our generation read as children. A few of my favorites were Heidi, The Swiss Family Robinson, Tom Sawyer and Charlie and The Chocolate Factory just to name a few. Of course there are thousands of great titles written by amazing story tellers! With the continued growth of the inter net, we have no reason not to find that perfect book for every child in our lives! Even though most children wish for the latest electronic devise or game, I bet they would take a few minutes to flip through the pages of a wonderful old story with you! Especially if you pass down one of your old favorites! So my holiday gift to you this season is a challenge. I challenge every adult who reads this blog post to pass on one of their old favorite stories to that special child in your life this Christmas!! Maybe you will even start a new holiday tradition? Oh and don't forget to check out my books too. They may not be old classics yet but one day maybe?? Thanks for stopping by and Happy Reading!!!!

Such a Fun Day at the Family Service Assoc Bookfair!!

A big thank you to everyone who came out to support our fundraiser Bookfair yesterday!! The kids had a great time scurrying from one station to the other to earn their raffle tickets. Kids were face painting, and decorating cupcakes, doing crafts, listening to storytime and enjoying all of the performers! Thank you to the Easter Bunny and the Super Heroes for stopping by throughout the day!! Check out some pics on my FB page!! if you missed the event or live out of the area, no worries.
